(NOT TRUE) I love my 24, however the styling of the 25 is a newer look, and def the biggest thing is the access to the cabin. that's prob the one thing I really don't like is having to crawl into the cabin.

Who was this guy? The only thing that could happen is the either model could be faster depending on all the varibles.

The 24 has higher "freeboard" and maybe that confused him, and maybe the foam filled wood floors feel a little more solid than the hollow fiberglass floor in the 25ol, but if anything the 25 should ride better due to the added foot in length.

ah cool, thanks for the clarification. so power being the same, which is the faster. and which is heavier. I have a local friend with a 25 outlaw with stock 502. says he can run 73. My 24 with a 525sc that dynode 570p would only run 70. hull difference? or am I missing something.

Both boats might not be the same weight now as when they were new. When Ebay Ed pulled stringers and floor boards from the "cabin area" of his 272 they were SO heavy from moisture you could hardly lift the sections. Weigh both boats and run them side by side. Your 70 mph boat might out-run his 73 mph boat? That sounds a little high for a (stock) 502 anyway. Your "x" dim. might be lower on the older boat, and are you running a Mirage, or Mirage Plus? As far as hull difference put his 25 on your 24's trailer and it will fit like a glove except for the 12" hanging off the back.
