My limited knowledge of geometry just got send straight to ****... How does a tie bar allow this to happen?

CigDaze 08-14-2002 03:40 PM

The tie bar prevents translational motion between the two drives, in other words closer or further apart from eachother. However the ends are free to rotate, so the elevation between the two can change. The greater the difference, though, the closer the two drives become.

What is that white thing on your steering wheel? Looks like a wire tie.

BTW,

Thanks guys .. this is what makes this forum great!

After thinking about this, I seem to recall that on my 25 I had to use both the trim switch and the trailer switch at the same time.

I had the Sonic in between (momentary indescretion) which only had a single switch.

I'll give it a try tomorrow.

It's the middle of August - I think you can take the winterization tag off now. Ohhh - maybe it's an old picture. :D
