Thanks BajaLion,
I guess the board Gods did not want the Baja guys to make the Fountain guys look bad. I was on the post when it went away.
He apologized, enough said anyway.
Thanks Mark

Guys,
I went through this a few months ago with Corsa Q&Q II. Originally I had drilled out the end cones, and then wanted to go further, I took a look inside the tips and there was no way they were coming apart easily. I opted to remove them completely in favor of some Hardin Marine slant cut 4" SS tips. They have internal metal flappers with rubber edges. They were about $135 from CP Performance. Between doing that and having my prop labbed I picked up about 4MPH. The thing is loud now, because it's straight through, but it sounds sweet and definitely removed all of the exhaust restriction. No matter what Corsa says, those tips are restrictive. The Hardin Marine tips bolt right up to the same pattern, although you will have to supply the hardware (screws, washers, nuts). You can pick up stainless hardware at any Boater's World. I used Life Caulk to seal them to the transom, and no leaks at all so far. I sold the old tips on ebay for $152.50 so it all evened out. If you all have any questions about the install or anything feel free to pm me or talk to me through this thread...

Get rid of the Corsa exhaust and go with straight though on a 500 and people will pee their pants when you turn the key!
It is fun to watch peoples expression when they are not expecting it. I have watched people almost jump out of their boats when dad has started the cat. They about gives themselves wiplash jerk their head around to see what is going on. We just sit back and laugh. 500efi with CMI headers and no mufflers.
