24 outlaw Prop & speed question
I just picked up a 1995 24 outlaw & I'm have a motor built for it 454 with about 550hp what would u guys start with for a prop my engine builder said I can rev it to 5500rpm also what might I see speed wise I'll post pics soon
Thanks Jay |
with 1.5 ratio drive, 24-26 4 blade or 25 3 blade, high 60's to low 70's depending on setup

I agree with above...good place to start. If your mill actually makes that kinda HP then you should run well into the 70's. The Mirage Plus 25 is a BEAST stock, but if you can turn it the proper "Baja" lab recipe will put you out front of the pack in a 24' w 550 HP.
I know where one is that already has the proper work done (Bblades) with zero hours that MAYBE for sale if you're interested. |
I have a 24 outlaw with about 520hp. I spin a 24 bravo 1 to 5300 at 70.4mph, and a 26p bravo 1 to 4900-4950 at 71.2mph. So far thats what I have seen.

The 24p you will probably hit 5500, or a touch better, a 26 about 5100-5150 probably, but if you lab the 26 you should see 5300-5450. I bought a 24 and 26, and plan to lab the 26 to get it up to around 5200

Thanks guys I'm putting the motor in this up coming week & hope to water test next weekend I'll let you know how I make out
