Crew got me investigating and I soon found out that my exhaust (silent choice) has a turbulator between the exhaust manifold and the elbow, so...........being the tinkerer that I am I took about 45 minutes and pulled mine off.
Wow!! What a difference just sitting there in my driveway...it idled much louder and when I revved it up I hit the rev limiters pretty quickly, never hit the limiters before doing this. Anyway....you might check to see if your engine has those turbulators. Might be worth a shot. Now I wonder how it will do out on the water...can't wait. |

Just make sure you get the tips with the flapper or whatever they are called. When it is idling it'll sound like a small lightweight hammer flopping around in your exhaust, but that is normal and they are there to keep the water out at low RPM. |
