It was being lifted trailer and to or from (can't remember) to a flatbed transport trailer, with a forklift designed for lifting boats alone. You can see the forks in the picture.
No indication of transom straps, which could have potentially saved the boat, or made the whole thing tumble over.

This boat just hit the market, sheds some light on why the one in question here would be a tough investment to make.
While this one may not have the over top paint, it is set up for pleasure with a nice cabin and roomy cockpit.

dsmawd350...that's the same one as mentioned above your post.
Since we love our 36 and the room it has, my next boat will be a 40 Outlaw. I will get rid of the Bravo's, put Arneson's on it and swap out the 575 blowers for some 4 liter Whipples. At that point it should be a solid 95 mph boat that won't break. I hope

For the money you will have invested you could purchase an early 2000s 42 Outerlimits. Have more cabin, a stand up bathroom, sixes, sick paint and run well over 100mph

Please tell me where I can pick up a 42 OL for 125K that has engines that are going to go more than 200 hrs before servicing is needed. And I do all of my own work and get parts for wholesale, so my cost is way less than what you think and my labor is free.
I will not argue with anyone about the Outerlimits line of boats. They are awesome, just not for me...

asking price is rarely selling price. I know the prices of Arneson drives pretty well, and know Rik. Great drives, but they are not cheap, even with your discount. There is quite a bit more time and money that goes into converting, I can tell you this from hands on.
You are gonna 4L Whipple 575s and expect them to have the mainentance schedule of 500 efis?
All I'm saying is, it is never really cost effective to go this route. And to have that time and money in a Baja, it will never turn out good when you go to sell. Even if you have 20k extra in the OL, it would be much less than the losses you would have tied up in the Baja.
Just my 2 cents
