`Hey Guys,
I was cleaning the bilge today and I noticed that on the far edges of the bilge (far port and far stbd sides) there seems to be a shelf type area that holds water. In my boat, the tilt/trim pump is mounted on the flat spot of the shelf, then it drops off to follow the hull bottom until it meets the outer stringer. This is where I noticed water is accumulating. With the bow up, the majority of the water runs to the stern and over a notch in the stringer, but there is still about 2 inches or so of water that is left standing. Is this common on these Bajas? Has anyone drilled drain holes in the back edge of the stringer and sealing them to allow the water to drain out of this area?
