Thanks for the info. Sorry to thread jack, I just thought since knowledgeable, helpful people were here, I'd get a little more info than a complete noob asking dumb questions in a new thread. I'll do a little more research and see what I can figure. Good luck Rooster, very informative thread and I admire your persistence.

Hook'em when you calculate slip with our secret grind are you using 23 or 24 as the dia. ???

AJ, we need a picture of this "272 Outlaw" as it is the only one in existence. 272 (and like numbered boats) are from the Performance Series. Integrated swim decks and rounded lines.

The Outlaw is the squared transom, bolt on aluminum tube swim deck, classic "off shore" lines including flat decks with hard corners. Two completely different models.
Yep . It sucks getting old hook em . 272 boss . Must of been all that partying i did when is was younger lol and i have run that boat every day this week . I stand corrected . Stand behind the rpm and speed though.

I hear ya brutha. Where are you running the boat air junky? So the 66mph pass was in a closed bow 272, not a bow rider (islander)?

I speak Kefurr. We do think alike....that's got to be dangerous (for one of us).

Im stuck on lewy till all the ramps reopen. Could be worse i guess. That was bugging the crap out of me all last night , I havent been within 10 feet of a outlaw in 2 years . But yea its a 272 ,boss , closed bow short screw in plastic windscreen, headlights , livorsi gauges ,led tab indicators , has the 2 cabin flip vents on each side of the bow rail . Gen 6 502 mag . Thinking about knife edging the hull transom joint just for kicks to see if it can unlock a extra mph or 2 .

Took the beast out over the weekend. I didn't run it hard as I've still got the 454 mag oil lines on it and not happy with the oil pressure, but have it a quick run. It spooled up to 5k much faster with the new tweaks but stopped right there with the 1.65 drive and 23p Rev4 prop. Not a huge difference, but after I switch out the oil lines we'll go from there.

What do your oil filter/cooler lines have to do with oil pressure? Stock line inside diameter should be fine no matter your hp as long as you upgrade the cooler.
