Well, boattest.com has tested one with 502MPIs and go 70.1 at WOT. (http://www.boattest.com/test-results.asp?ID=2)
But a 502MPI is 415 hp, where an HP500EFI is 470, and the 575SCi is 550.

Real world conditions;
500's = Low 70's
575's = High 70's
It takes some big horsepower to move these true deep V's.
The generator alone will cost you 3 MPH from what I have been told. Most people are going with the extension boxes with the generator to pick back up 1-2 MPH but you still loose speed with the gen.
That is a very nice set up. The wife and I considered the 342 before we bought. I would be happy knowing that a boat with all those amenities would run in the 70's. The Fountains and Formulas will pass you by, but when you are enjoying the cuddy they are sitting home.

BTW, you would know... is a genset an option in the 36 outlaw? How bout the 33? Same question for AC?
Ideally, I'm trying to find a boat that runs 85, will handle 4 foot seas pretty well, has genset/shorepower, A/C, microwave, tv, fridge, and a stove.... maybe 500EFIs with prochargers (for less $$$ than a pair of 575s)... What's that, about 1500 horses? woohoo! Now I just gotta worry about where on board to stow the extra Bravo I drive.

dloftis,
No, the generator is not an option on the 36, however we talked to the dealer and also Steve from Baja (forget last name) in detail regarding this because we first thought the 342 was the boat we were going to order because of a few extra options like the generator.
The dealer had just ordered a 302 for a guy with 496 Mag HO and ALL THE GOODIES including the generator and this was the information given by Baja. The set it up with the extension boxes to gain back some of the speed lost with the extra weight. It makes since to me. The generator is a few hundred pounds.
If you have a good dealer they should shoot straight with you. The first Baja I bought back in 1999, they blew some smoke about speed. But the dealer respects my knowledge of boats much better now, not that I know everything, but try to learn all I can anyway, and now he really makes sure he tells shoots straight with me.
I can get you some contact names at the factory if you want them.
Thanks
Mark

dloftis,
Come my way and I'll show you a 32' the does 85. No Gen or microwave though. The original Bravo's are hanging in quite fine TYVM, just checked the oil lookin clear. 1500 HP not needed.

Lion,
I think you need to pull the 32 down here to Lake Norman for a long weekend.
Would love to see that baby in action.
You would be the fastest Baja on the lake, and that would really shake up some Fountain owners around here!
Just met a guy with a 2000 Formula 353 Fastech with 500's, whipple superchargers and imco drives with boxes. His GPS shows max speed recorded at 99.2 MPH. He is really a funny guy and says he has tried every trick known to man and cannot get that extra .8 MPH to get him in the triple digit club. I told him to round it off, close enough for me. LOL
Makes me think twice about putting the Whipples on. That would put the 36 close to your speed I think?
Happy Boating
