I'll be interested to hear the improved performance. I had a 97 outlaw with a warmed 525SC putting out about 650 HP. had the stock tabs on it and I can tell you, it could have used bigger tabs. 24 degree true vee and only 24' long. Only thing in the water at speed was a couple inches of the stern hull and lower drive. Couple big ol planes out the back could've helped with chine walk.

Project is looking good! Can't wait to see how it comes out.

Where are you going to put the batteries?

Batteries are going under the rear seat. It will be done being painted tomorrow morning and I should have my HP transom assembly on it soon. This is the second time I have worked with fiberglass and my work looks better than Baja's.

All pumps will be mounted on the transom. There was hardly any room to work on the motor before. This will help a lot

That looks great!!

And good idea on the battery under the seat. Easy access and jump if need be.

Exactly. Also will be moving some weight forward. Just trying to get the boat decent this year then next off season it should be ready for some more ponies.

All done. Came out pretty good. After I put the transom assembly on I'll start replacing the wood in the seats and sunpad with starboard.

Badmonkey said he wants to trade the motor that is in the scarab for my efi 502 lol

I think Mike is referring to this motor...I'm pretty freakin hungover right now...actually I think I'm still drunk but I certainly do not remember telling Mike I would do that...then again, at 2am I could of said anything...
