Default Baja LED Cupholder Installation

I have a 2001 baja outlaw 29 and I'm trying to change the plastic stock cupholders to the LED livorsi cupholders. Does anyone know how to get the back cockpit cup holders out without ripping the vinyl seats?

Also does anyone have any advice to wiring up these cupholders?

Open the rear bench and push them up & out, I think their just a press fit, wire them to an aux switch on the dash / an empty rocker switch

I am not sure I can get to the cupholders from the back rear bench but I will check tomorrow.

Thanks for the advice.

when I installed mine this spring I had a friend push up from the bottom as well as ran a screwdriver between the cup and vinyl to help pry it up and not pull the vinyl up. Tight fit but they eventually broke loose.

Mine came out with no problems. I think I used a plastic spackle tool to slowly pry up on the cup holder until it came loose.

Maybe use some soapy water sprayed around the edges/lip of the cup holder to act as a "penetrating lube".

I wired-in mine with a plug at each cupholder so I can remove them for cleaning. The Livorsi holders were bigger than two of my stock cupholders so I used a file by hand to enlarge the holes. One caution is the 232 (maybe others) glovebox door hits the taller Livorsi and will no longer fully open.
