Heading to Jacksonville in the morning. What is the weather looking like over the weekend in your area with this tropical storm?

Could not believe that when I turned on the tube this morning.

The last trip I made to Florida was November last year to the Keys and hurrican Michelle moved in.

I need some Florida sunshine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate to be the one to break it yo you(I'm sure you've seen the maps already), but it's not looking good at all. Tropical Depression 9 is heading straight our(J-ville's) way. Heavy rains, heavy winds and storm surges are expected. It's following a northeast track and will be going straight through North FL.

For those of us on the West coast, it should be just about over mid-Saturday....which kind of means the the worst of it will be Sat and Sun for the J-ville area. Sorry man!

But on the bright side, the weather people could be wrong...The chances of that are better than predicting the weather itself.

Well, just talked to Russ in Savanna, he says we are going.

The count down has begun. The boat is clean, the truck is clean and full (90) gallons of diesel, bags are packed and we roll at 6:00AM Friday morning.

Been watching the weather channel, those guys really don't tell you dick.

Looks like the storm is heading NORTH, hopefully the rain will be out of Florida by poker run time.

Praying for sunshine in the sunshine state.

Here's the latest.

Tropical Depression #9 is now officially Tropical Storm Hanna. The storm was upgraded early this morning.

Tropical Storm Hanna is the eighth named storm of the season.

Meteorologists say to expect a large amount of rain and wind in the Bay area throughout the weekend.

Currently, an outer band of thunderstorms covers the waters 20-60 miles offshore between Sarasota and Tarpon Springs. These storms contain frequent lightning and blinding rain. These conditions could reach the coast by mid-morning. Urban and street flooding due to heavy rainfall is possible later today.

For boaters, seas will rise to 7-9 feet in the Gulf of Mexico thorugh Saturday. Tides will continue to average 1-2 feet above normal near shore.

The highest tides will be along the Nature Coast. Tides may be 2-3 feet above normal by high tide Saturday morning.

It looks like the track changed a little, more to the north, but the rains and wind will still be a concern, I think.
