277 islander
Looking for another bowrider. Like something with a little more speed than most other bow riders. How is the 277 on fit and finish and so on. Not many available and have not seen one up close. When were they last made?

'07-08. They are nice boats with good F&F. They are also big heavy boats and need good power to run 60+. 496 mag is underpowered. I'll ask a buddy with a beautiful 277 I to chime in here so ask away if you have any more specific questions.

Love mine - Hook'em is right, 496 MAG is underpowered in this package, it gets the job done but you will not break any speed records - I know from experience - Needs an HO minimum....500 EFI would be the ticket in one of these..
With the MAG and GPS speeds mine would only get up to around 56 -57 MPH with a Mirage 21p 3 blade - Have had multiple vendors tell me that is the go fast prop for this boat. Never got a chance to test it in perfect conditions so there may be a little more speed but I doubt there is much left on the table.
Currently running a Rev 4 19p 4 blade and in perfect conditions when it will spin it up to the limiter GPS speed is 52 MPH.
PM me your cell and I will send you a few pics...I have no complaints on the fit or finish....I'm little biased, but I think mine looks better than most as it doesn't have a common graphics package..
Fountain did make a few 277 Islanders later on after they acquired the Baja line. I have seen 1 of them for sale recently and it was listed for 75k if my memory serves me right...
ETA: With a BB, you will sound better than all the other ski boats on the water!
