Thanks. You guys would know for sure.

Funny, I was sure I read that somewhere though.

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most....

This one has the school bus seating.

Can't imagine working on it would be any worse than my 29 Outlaw with 7.4's would be. My 29 ran 65 with the 7.4 MPI's (in the ocean).

This one has 830 hours on it so I'm a little concerned about that. It is priced REALLY right though so I'd have plenty of $ left over for rebuilds or replace. I'd want to upgrade power either way. Looking for 80 MPH target speed so would 500HP per side get me there?

Make sure it's surveyed with moisture meter, engines scanned, etc. Mine had new motors, was stored in dry storage, and had alum trailer. Other than the lt green, pink and teal, the only issue I had was my boat was never brought in for the recall on the cockpit scupper drains that drained out the side. A lil rough sitting and it would let a Iil water back in the boat. I plugged them and re- gelled.

Speed should be low 60s depending on conditions... Humidity, heat, etc.
Mine ran 68 in VA and will run 65 light here in hot a$$ New Orleans. 454 mag mpi's.

What price range is it listed. Pm me and I will let you know what I paid 3 years a go for mine.

Other than that, we LOVE it! Oh, and I can change impellers in about 45 min each.

I don't see 500 getting you there. I'm at 65 with 770. Considering rule of thumb 20hp per 1 mph. You need another 150 a side. So that would be around 535.. So 500 should put you mid to high 70s...

Maybe OffshoreExcursion or others who have repowered and ran above 80-90 may have a better estimate but they were 02' + so they had the higher X already when they started.

My Smith motors were 630 a side and I ran 83 in my 33, deep drives and trimmed in the tree's, but solid with no wiggle.

You might get high 80's w/500's if it has a faria speedo and low 80's if it has the liquid filled gaffrig monster speedo

Well, I'll be towing it with my Duramax on SO Cal freeways so 80 is a possibility!

So 600 per side will probably get me where I want to be. Guess I'll be running blowers on something besides my cars.

Plus, if I buy this boat I wouldn't have to buy a new hat (or change my screen name)!
