Default 1998 33 Outlaw Issues?

I'm looking at a '98 33 Outlaw. Any known issues with that year I should look out for?

It's a 7.4 MPI boat so I'm thinking top speed is going to be around mid 60's?

You could not pay me enough money to change a water-pump/impeller on that boat. Overall, they are great party boats with that huge cockpit. But they are one of the hardest boats out there to work on.

Nor will it be a mid 60s boat. I'd be surprised if it would break 60.

I had a 29 o/l w/7.4's. ...it was a low 60 MPH boat.....a 33 will be about the same

Were there not "small" and "large" cockpit versions of the 33 with the small cockpit having better access to the engines? If so, what were the production years of the small cockpit boats?

^^^^ What he said. All 33's have the same cockpit. But I guess if you have the 4 bolster set up it might be considered a smaller cockpit since there is no longer a dance floor?
