I had a 1997 272 bought brand new. Cant say enough good things about that hull. put over 700 hours on that boat.

I would try and stick with 97 or newer if possible.

That is when the interior and dash was updated FYI.

Is this your boat? I saw the ad before but also saw the 25K or make offer. I thought getting it in my price range would be an insult.

Not my boat, but maybe you guys could meet in the middle, I had a 2000 272 502 mag and loved it, if you wont move a couple grand to get the right boat it may be tough. good luck

I wish I could meet in the middle, but according to the wife it's 20K unless my boat sells first. So I'm kinda stuck.

A boat that's been stored for 6 years is going to need some serious maintenance. I don't recognize the boat.
Its about 1.5 hours south of me in a smallish town according to the 3 county license plate on the trailer.

Serious maintenance? If it was stored (inside) and winterized properly would it really be considered "serious" maintenance? Not doubting you but just curious.

All new fluids, gas, oil, drive oil. Impeller, tune up, belts, batteries? Maybe starter, alternator, shift/steering cables?

I know it's not good for boats to sit that long, but if the price is right I would think it might be a pretty good deal?

I really didn't think of that. I called them yesterday, they seem real nice and sent updated pics after they cleaned it up. They were supposed to call me today after getting it running....haven't heard from them yet, so that might be a bad sign.

Edit: Ooops my bad. I read months, not years. So, yeh, I agree....6 years is a lot of time.
