Holy crap !

Too much trim.

I would call that a death bounce.

Not to be confused with the death wiggle on a bike or lifted Jeep.

Nice Scarab Panther.

How the Hell does a 35 foot boat get that out of shape at that speed in those minimal conditions to lose steerage?

Just explained it.

I've seen others do this over the years, It's almost like people think it's cool to get the boat to bounce/porpoise like that, until too much of the rear of the boat (front already off the water) leaves the water and it's all over. Or frt slams down, rear is lifting up (think of momentum, see saw , pendulum, and stored energy. etc) and the boat takes off.

With rougher water, they will have tabs and trim tucked down to keep boat more level.

So yeh, calmer water can be more dangerous for people than rougher water because of false security and loss of respecting, or not knowing, physics.

In many of the poker runs I have been in, that would have been a fatal collision; no two ways about it.
How the hell none of the boat boats collided is beyond me. Unbelievable, and nice driving #1 by the filming boat, and #2 by the Advantage(?) that slid right between them.

Sure don't like to seethes here right now. Get another lessons learned going on. But indeed intentive driving , 👍and knowing who's where at all times at poker runs. Must expect the unexpected. I've found out on my ventures into poker runs. Kudos to all. Great driving and a little luck too I'm guessing. We use to line up 40 wide on snowmobiles n race lake. Till chit just like that happened someone cut out of the pack right into a slower sled still bringing up the rear yikes. Have a great safe weekends

There's other videos out there showing it being driven carelessly, I'm not sure if this is the original poker run boat, they made another one that went overseas, regardless, if the driver used some tab and kept the drives neutral , it wouldn't have done that

Pat on the back to the 2 captains that avoided a potential bad crash.
