New to me 25OL
Just picked up a 2001 Baja outlaw 25 with the 496HO this fall. I've only been out in it two times but very impressive in the rough water compared to what I'm use to boating in. it's going to be a long winter. I haven't had a gps with me since I haven't been out in it much but I'm surprised I was able to turn a 26B1 prop to 5000rpm . The previous owner told me it would do 73mph . From what I have read on here a stock 496ho doesn't go that fast .

Congrats on the boat, looks great! One owner? Looks like its stock, with all the factory decals, etc. Just the way I like em....

I'm the fourth owner of the boat . Guy I bought it off only owned for 2 years . Has 556hr on the hour meter . There is a small crack on the motor mount right where it steps down an inch or so and goes under the back seat . I think I've read a bit on here that people say it's some what normal to crack there . I'll try and get some pics of it tomorrow and post them .

Here is a pic of the crack on the stringer/motor mount . Is that something to be concerned about ? Passed a marine survey in 2014.

That looks like back of the bench seat not the stringer/ motor mount
area in the red is what I'm assuming you are talking about On another note what is that bolt sticking out from in the pic.. lots of threads showing http://i1380.photobucket.com/albums/...pscubo8slt.png Same area as in this pic of mine if so I wouldn't worry about it to much not structural but your rear seat might wobble a bit. http://i1380.photobucket.com/albums/...psqafh1jrp.jpg |
The part you have in red is the bottom of the crack . You can see it goes straight up along the edge . It stops where it steps up . The bolt is the tension adjuster for the alternator.

I took a bad pic of it , if you look just above your red line going down the edge of the motor mount that's what I'm referring to
