Back fender mount on 29 outlaw

How are you guys hanging the back fender on a 29 outlaw? Did you install special cleats? If so, can I see pictures?

I bought these locks on Amazon. I can't show any pics but see the link.

I've mounted them at midship and the stern on both sides. I've had no issues with them.

I always tied mine to the handle by back seat, then just flop inside when leaving. Back cleat is pretty much useless.

How do you tie a fender to the pop-up mushroom cleats?

I use a sea sucker for one of my fenders. For my boat, I stick it inside the transom well (any flat shiny surface will do) and hang it over the side. No holes, nothing to catch yourself on, no marks and I've left it hanging on overnight and rubbing against the dock with no problems. You can buy them online, Amazon or eBay or similar.

I use a fender with holes in each end and run line logetudinally down the throught both holes (very tightly) then place the fender sideways against the rubrail. The line is so tight it doesn't pop off the cleat and I've had a ton of force against the fender. I remove it once underway.

Have a permanent loop tied in the fender line that places the fender at just the right height.

Do you have to worry about the loop popping off the mushroom cleat if the boat starts moving up and down on the dock causing the fender to move up and down? I would hare for the fender to come detached from the boat eliminating any protection.

Where do you tie the lines?

Tie a knot on the bottom of the fender then figure 8 the line around the cleat at whatever height you want the fender then use the leftover line to tie up.
