ok boys, my anchor locker door had a stainless steel cable holding it from flying all the way open and springing the hinges. well, the wife handles the anchor duties and she flings the door open and breaks the cable. anyone have any suggestions on a remedy? i cannot find a new cable and the door rests on the bow when we are anchoring a tie up until the anchor is set and i dont like it. i was thinking of doing a gas strut but i think the anchor will be in the way. please let me know what any of you have done to fix this problem. i have tried to make a replacement cable and it broke as well. thanks!
