My covers fit both my 1996 and 2000 272s with no issues.

I'm happy about that and glad for your good experiences. I can only relate my experiences and what my research has uncovered and unfortunately they have not been as positive as yours. I guess we all pay our dues and take our chances.

No worries, we're all incorrect sometimes.

Like I said, the snaps on the windshield are mobile, and slide along the track. As for the hull, all I know is that my covers fit 2 different years of 272s, 4 model years apart. So it's possible they used some kind of template, etc.

What color is the brand new cover you have. It has snaps installed, is it NOS?

Do you have a pic of your snaps that are movable on the windshield frame? I've only seen them in the GEL.

Thanks for the reply Puzzleboy... Sorry I did not reply sooner... As the original poster, I am still interested. I sent a PM to you asking for details and pictures (if possible) - Thanks for getting back to me on this. Much appreciated!

Still in the market for a reasonably priced cockpit cover...

Thanks in advance...

Thanks to all that replied. I just scored a brand new (unused) original Baja 272 Cockpit cover for $200.00 - The seller has had it sitting on a closet shelf since he brought home his 272 in 1995. He sold the boat three years ago. He still has the cover sitting on the same shelf, where it's been for the past 22 years... lol
