The Green Monster top speed is 105.3 MPH. Just had a discussion about that on bad ass baja's fb page. I know the current owner and he said he has only gotten 103 out of it. But yea definately congrats to Chad. 117 and hitting the rev limiters is pretty incredible.

557 with 8.3 whipples. they are turned down about as low as they can and running on pump gas. Chad has absolutely bought the best on the best on every part on this build from the pans to the blowers, fuel system acc. drives, electrical parts, Mark Morris/ Visual Imagination paint! absolutely over the top! Very proud! And to think what those monster motors would do with some big drives and turned up!!!!

Someone above said imagine what it would do turned up with big drives. I would have to imagine those xrs are are very borrowed time behind whatever power it takes to send a 35 Baja 117mph on the limiters

Holy crap, how the heck is that possible? The horsepower and more importantly the torque at 117 MPH has to be 2.5 to 3 times what they are rated for!

You gotta give details, that is insane... Are the gears treated with Kryptonite with Unicorn blood for lubrication or what?

But, he's got massive 8.3L whipples on 557cid's. A pulley change surely will add much more power than big drives would consume.
