Default 25 Outlaw Bow Rail Help

Has anyone taken off the bow rail on their Outlaw? Mine is a 2005 25 Outlaw and the paint is starting to crack and come off. I would like to have it painted and was wondering how hard it was to remove. There are hex head bolts on top, but I am not sure what they thread into and afraid of taking them off and creating a mess where I can't reattach it. Thanks!

I've had most of my 25 OL apart you have to take the front of the cuddy apart to get to the screw holding on the front of the bow rail.. as far as the other screws mine just spin so I'm assuming there are nuts on the bottom side? Which would mean you have to remove the headliner to get to them. hopefully someone that has done it will chime in.

Cut through my headliner and used self adhesive gloss white disks to cover the carnage when reinstalling. Boat is 22 yrs old so there's no way the original headliner isn't coming down in pieces.

I cut a small slit in the headliner and tried to remove on of these screws several years ago. I could not get it to break loose. Was afraid I would strip the top allen wrench hole on top before it would break loose. Love to know if there is a trick to it too.
