Id say: Ditch the trips, go full staggered with 850-900 hp a side. Clean up the bottom of the hull depending if there is a hook

Center leg needs to come waaaay up, she needs to go on a diet if she as the full cabin and you need a hell of a lot more power. Great rough water boats, love the 40 but I'd rather a twin set up as they run just as good if not better.
