1995 Baja with a 502 that has been rebuilt with a 540 crank and a mild roller cam. Does anyone have an idea what the stock prop is? I purchased the boat as a project basket case and it has a 24 prop on it now. I finally got it on the water after a series of false starts and at 3k rpm it was running 25-30 mph. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would say that it had a 25 pitch 3 blade from the factory which most replace with the 24 pitch 4 blade, due to the 24 performing better getting on plane.

I haven't had the ecm reflashed, I have not tried to spin the motor past 3,000rpm, I would assume that it would spin past 3000 rpm with more throttle. As I was out idling around varying throttle positions and checking for leaks I noticed that at about 3k rpm it was 25-30mph and in my simple mind 6k rpm would equate to 50 or 60mph. The boat came with a 3 blade 24 pitch 3 blade prop. On a good note it seems to pull up to 3k rpm without any hesitation or audible knock, next time ill plug in a wideband O2 sensor .
