Jammer...I am confused as to how the heck you got your vinyl off to do the repair? Post #8 seems to clearly show a bare nekkid sunpad separated from top to bottom...? Yet post #19 indicates you didn't have to remove the vinyl?
Mine is on like a sock...I can get no movement fore or aft to try to get it off the fiberglass 'bottom' so I can get to the screws/bolts holding the rotten wood on.

Some more pictures of what I am up against...the wood is pretty much completely gone! The port side IS gone by the hinge connection, and the starboard and aft sections aren't much better...
