I'll be happy with 80. It feels like frickin 80, I'll tell you that much. My speedo isn't reading right though so I don't know the exact speed. The motor is making just under 650 HP. Theres a 4 Blade 28 pitch on there now but I'm only getting 5k Rpm with it. I need 5500. So I'm going to buy a 28 pitch 4 blade and have it labbed down. The prop on there belongs to PhantomChaos. So we'll see what happens.

Ittlfli......one for each speaker Oh yeah, there is a gripe for Baja...TWO FREAKIN SPEAKERS ON THE FACTORY SOUND SYSTEM!!!

By the way, what are you talking about great wooley mamoth hunter.....

Gotta have it, that thing will handle like an amish slot car with a 3 blade, need four of 'dem blades in order not to wreck these things at speed. They are a lot different than the 25.

Tank, I think youwill hit 80. Infact, you better hit 80 or I'm gonna need to spend more $$!! The way I figure I need about 640-650hp to safely hit 80. I am hoping to break 600hp with the blower, maybe wind up a t 620 or so. That is goning to leave me short of 80, maybe 78 79 or so. I doubt you will gain 500 rpm with labbing the 28. I would say you will get 200-300 rpm max. May need to keep trying props. Be careful with the three blades man.....wow, they get squirely. If you get the chance to run a 23 Rev4, see what happens there. You are gonna spin it to the sky, but might be interesting to see what happens. I wiil run that prop on my first sea trial this spring. Then I will work up from there. I currently turn my labbed 23 rev4 at about 5100-5300 depending on air and wieght. Not sure what kind of ign you are running, but you may be able to out a higher chip (rev limiter) in it if you have an MSD. You are probably okay spinning that motor up to 6K+ for short bursts. We ran dyno sweeps to 6K on my motor. However, if the engine guy says prop it to 5500, then that is where she needs to be for long term. Just don't leave it pinned above 6K for to long, even though it will sound sssaaawweeeett. Let me know humpo, I am anxious to here the final news, especailly considering you and I are gonna have very close setups. Later, A4

Yup, and fabrication is not really my forte and it needs to look nice, I don't like ratty looking stuff, especially if it is mine. It looks like it will be after the New Year, I'll call you a week or so ahead of time. Later

BajaBoat,

Thanks, both are fun toys. You can just make out the OSO sticker on the back of the suburban by the way...representing for the board baby!!

Allan,

I do have MSD on there but theres no rev limiter at all. my mechanic has told me he wants it running at 5500 rpm. The 4 blade stock 28 pitch prop is putting out 5k. the prop guy I go to said to keep the 28 pitch prop and he'll lab it to put out 5500. We'll see what happens.

Welp, both your mechanic and prop guy know more about this jazz than I, but wow, that's some big gains from a lab job. I was saying to spin it to 6k on a test run with a samller prop to see what happens, not spin to 6k all the time

Looking forward to hearing some numbers, deal still stands, you buy the plane ticket, I will come out and dial this monkey in for you

Bajaboat, that's a hell of a lot of saws to be using on my precious little baja Gotta run, need to go plow some snow and spread some salt so I can pay for this blower thing we have all talked about for the last 6 weeks, gettin 4"-6" tonight, need to head out now (11:30pm) to get them all done by morning. Later, A4
