1996 Baja 272 Exhaust
I COULD USE SOME HELP WITH GETTING PARTS FOR A 1996 BAJA 272 WITH A 502MPI, 415HP. I HAVE A PROMBLEM WITH THE THRU HULL EXHAUST. ONE OF THE SOLENOIDS IS NOT STAYING OPEN ABOVE 3200 RPM. I ALSO THINK THEY MAY POSSIBILY BE MOUNTED IN THE WRONG POSITION SINCE THE MOTOR WAS REBUILT. ALSO DO NOT KNOW MANUFACTURER OF EXHAUST SYSTEM BUT I DO THINK IT IS THE ONE THAT CAME WITH BOAT FROM FACTORY.

I've had a couple solenoids go bad. I finally sent mine back to corsa for a complete rebuild. I don't think you can mount incorrectly. Here's a link:

They have changed how the solenoids are mounted. Some are on top others side. They also changed mounting direction.
Anyway, with the system actived (solenoid in the retract position) see how easy each side is to pull back out. If it pulls back out with little effort it's a bad solenoid.
