Ha Ha, Stepping up to a twin is a tough jump, and I try not to keep the same boat more than one season, I'm hard on them, and buy them as investments, sometimes have had 2 at a time, but when you find a good deal you have to snag it up

I was raised around marinas all my life. A lot of wood Centurys and Chris Crafts and a 18' SK flat bottom drag!!!
My fist boat I owned:
1972 23' Fleetwing Eagle (Like a John Allmon) with a 215E (ford 351 motor). The thing acutually had a dry clutch everything actuated electrically. A button dropped it in forward another for reverse!!!!
Given to me free. Only the horn worked.
Redid interior, paint, rebuilt the drive. Learned how to do boat mechanics on that one. Always got me home (sometimes w/o reverse).
Definately my fondest memories of boating.

1989 Landau 17' fiberglass bowrider. Bought it at an estate auction without a test drive. Boat was 7 years old with only 51 hours on it. Sold it two years later for a little less than I paid with only 89 hours.
