CFD5 is just about dead on. The 24 in the pic is my 98. I love the boat, but I would trade it for a 25 for two reasons.....1.) The handle on the 25 is much superior...2.) the 25 interior is nicer and bigger. I do like the lines on the 24 much better. I am with Tank, I really like the traditional squared off look of the 24. I have mine dialed in just about right and can run without a chine walk at WOT, but you gotta drive it to keep it straight.
I would concur that the 25 is 1-2mph faster all things consistent. I will also add in that if you want a TON of boat for 40k, pick up Tank's 24. He has a rockin sound system and about 100 more hp than me. I run about 72-74 (CFD5 was a little low on my #'s) with 520hp and Tank probably sees close to 80 with his 525sc.
If you are looking for a 25, I bet you would be hard pressed to find a better 25 than CFD5's. It is/was for sale. The procharger makes that thing run awesome. It runs much more stable than mine....although he is a boob.
