We decided we wanted a new Outlaw decal made. One that was more colorful.
First we took a heat gun to the decal and peeled off the old decal.
This pic is what it looked like after we got it peeled off.

As you can see in the pic above, there was a huge amount of sticky left from the decal. I am thinking it is because of the heat and sun that it was exposed too during the summer. So after we peeled off the decal, we took acetone to it. It did a good job of removing the sticky stuff.
This pic is what it looked like after we did that.

Next, it needed to be wet sanded. It came out smooth as a baby's bottom.
After the wet sanding.............the buffing.
Me being the "I can to do it myself" gal, I decided I wanted to run the buffer.
Here is a pic of Gordo instructing me on what NOT to do as H2O Cowgirl watches...
Carrie, do not blah, blah, blah or it will sling you off the side of the boat.
Carrie, if it makes this noise blah, blah, blah it might hurl you off the side of the boat.
Carrie, do not blah, blah, blah because you could get you hair caught and that will hurt.

Thumbs up

Looks good. Where are you going to have the decals redone? I need to do the same.

Mike finally feels he can come down off the ladder, or maybe he is getting position to catch me as I get slung off the side of the boat.
Watch out Julie, I am getting dangerous with this thing

After I was done, I felt like I had been run over by a train! But I HAD to do it! HA! Actually it was fun. We ordered the new Outlaw decal. It is going to look SWEET! It should be in next week. I will post pics when we get it in installed!
