I'm not sure, but if there is one in June I will be there too. I just know this one is May 24.

Sounds like it is going to be a nice poker run. Is that a big lake?

Yeah, it is a pretty good size lake. Here are a couple stats of the lake. They put on a good show last year. Hopefully it will be a good turn out.

1. Dam impounds lake that stretches 49 miles up the Tugaloo River, and 45 miles up the Seneca River
2. Lake covers nearly 56,000 acres and has 962 miles of shoreline

Hey Jeff,

We just registered!

You come to ours and we come to yours!

Looking forward to it. I need to talk to you about where to stay. Are there any marina's where we can stay on the boat?

Look forward to seeing you.

Mark

The marina that we start and finish at, probably can accomodate an overnighter. I will check into that and see if I can get some definite information on that. There are 4 major marinas I'm sure at least one of them takes guest. If for some reason they do not there are plenty of motels within a 2 or 3 miles from the launch area. That weekend is also Freedom Weekend Aloft, so you will be able to see the ballons everynight.

How long are you planning on staying? I'm going to have a couple freinds of mine at the poker run, then my wife will be coming down later that evening, and we might spend the night on the boat also.

Jeff,

We plan to come down Friday and return home Sunday.

What shape are the ramps in and how is the parking for the rigs and trailers?

One of my customers is Fire Fly Balloons in Statesville. They are only four blocks away from the office and they test all the new ballons next door to us in a vacant lot. That will be pretty cool, I love hot air balloons. When they have the ballon rally in Statesville we hang out at the lake and watch them fly over.

Thanks, any information is appreciated.

Mark

Hope you guys don't mind my "butting in" on your conversation, but here is another link for the June poker run on the same lake. The host marina is Portmans and it's a pretty nice marina. Our powerboat club from Lake Murray went last year and had a blast! I look forward to meeting everyone there!
