Hey guys, I'll be at the Hawkeye poker run this year too. I'm heading south from MN on Thursday evening. I'll be there with 3 29's, 1 33, and 1 or 2 25's. We should hook up and have a drink!

Sounds like a plan to me. See everyone there.

Highmark, Congrats. Mine is due in 2 weeks. Just spoke w/ the guys at the Custom Shop, started doing the graphics today. I left it in their hands/imagination. Oh boy. Got the exact same set up, 33 w/ 496ho's. How did it sound and run?

The run from the launch to my slip/lift is about 300 feet and all no wake zone so I don't have much to report yet. I will most likely take her out this afternoon for a good break in run. I will report tomorrow morning how things go. The boat came with the props rotating inward which I may switch. Right now the shifters are set up opposite of what I have been used to for the past 7 years. Makes it a bit un-nerving around the dock. Sometime I will try them both ways and compare speed and handling but right now I just want better handling and have it shift (forward for forward) the way I'm used to.

Highmark,
a friend of mine did some prop
rotation testing on a 99' 33 o/l
with 502's.
he gained about 2 MPH on the
4 blades, and about 1 MPH on
the 3 blades.
Either props, docking
maneuvarability sucks when
they turn in.

Thats pretty much what I've learned from searching past posts on this. It's my first boat with twins so I will probably go with them turning out until I get accustomed to the boat. Thanks for the info.

Took the new Outlaw for a 20 mile spin last night. All I can say is WOW!! Absolutely love the way those 496 HO's sound! (Without the silenced tips of course ) Took it easy but still managed a few full throttle bursts and could quickly reach 74+ on the speedo. Not too bad for 145+ galllons of fuel and 2 adults. Very pleased so far.
