Question Dock Holiday are you still Alive!

I'm afraid to ask? Dock are you still around? I haven't seen a post in awhile. How did you make out with that "problem" you had with the 36. Usually those 500's are bullet proof. I think it was a sign. Maybe it's time to slap some Whipple's on. Whats $15 or 20K? Good luck.

NTS,
Dock's got all the information in the Tech Q&A section. They took care of him and has a new drive on the boat. It disintegrated and would not allow the motor to turn...The engine was fine. Check it out.

Hey Buddy,

ALIVE AND WELL, and very thankful to be a performance boater.

Good news on the 36, it was the drive and not the engine. Appears the clutch tried to engage and/or there was a major bearing failure. The temps became so hot in the drive that parts started to fuse together.

The dealer was awesome, I took it to Dave and Russ at Team Carolina Marine in Mooresville (Sonic Dealer) and they worked with Merc to get me a complete new drive. Took in in on Wednesday last week and got in back on Friday. However did not get in the water last weekend, so this Saturday will be the test.

Come on up to Norman this weekend, the club is having an overnight party at Dog Leg Cove Saturday night. Looks like between 6-10 boats will be there.

Take care and thanks for checking on me!!!!!!!!

Damn Nick,

You are GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You beat me on the reply.

How are you doing buddy?

Talked to Keith down in Tampa Bay yesterday, he has the 38 Special. I asked if he knew you and he did not. You guys need to hook up. I look forward to making a trip your way and boating in the gulf.

Take care.

This is funny, because I was gonna post the exact same question!

The board seemed naked not seeing Dock Holiday on there a bunch of times! BAJA DAZE, if you come up missing for a few days we'll probably be asking the same thing!

Doc has had a little trouble...he had to rent a motel room for a few weeks. The POWERSTROKE overheated towing the 36 up the hill near the lake and he burnt a few valves. He can be seen at the local Motel 8 playing with his remote control boat in the bath tub, and at times, he will hang out on the balcony towing his toy boat with a matchbox Chevy Duramax wishing he sprung for this tow vehicle.

LOL!
Poor Mark. But I'll still bet the powerstroke didn't overheat as much as a duracrap would have!

Thanks TeamBaja!

Ok Nick, I'll be down there in your area come Christmas...yea with the truck. I'll pull a few plugs and tow the Outlaw and we'll do a little comparision. If I can't make it over the Skyway Bridge, just make sure you have the plug in and as I start rolling backwards I'll aim for the intercoastal water below. You can take me back land side and I'll go buy a......POWERSTROKE LOL
