Hey kennyo, where did you buy that boat?

I like the diamond plate, was that already installed or did you put it in?

See post #31. I did the tread plate because the unfinished look of the gelcoat under the hatch sucked.I bought it from miller88 on the board.

OK, looks alot like my old 272.

I installed stainless under my hatch to finish it off also. Dont mind the ugle hatch ram, i polished that shortly after also...

i may sound like a dumb a$$ but how do kplanes make a boat ride better???

you can use then for allot of ways to control the attitude of the boat.

1. put them down to plain faster
2. put them down to stay on plane at a lower speed
3. put one side down to compensate when there is more weight on one side of the boat or the other.(Ex. you got drunk and picked up a big girl at the dock bar.)
3. put one side down to make the boat ride level when wind and waves are coming from the side
4. put them down to get the bow to cut through waves better in rough conditions.
5. put them down a little to stop chine walk and porpoising it extreme high speeds.
6. and lastly off the top of my head, when they are level(neutral) they act as extensions of the haul. In other words making the boat ride as if it was that much longer.

Im sure there are other reasons also, that just a quick overview.

Jadento, what did they charge for that mirror stainless? I could not find any around here. It looks great. I was looking for stainless treadplate but ended up w/polished aluminum. It doesn't wear very well. I posted the pics for Shoe 'cause I told him I would about a year ago.Good to be back on the board. I can't wait for spring!

aaahhhhh, I got the stainless sheets at a street rod show. There was a vendor there selling stuff like that. I know that dosen't really help you much but thats where I got them.

It was a while ago, but I think it was $40 for 4 or 5 sheets. I dont remember the size of the sheets though. I do remember that the pieces were almost the perfect size for under the hatch. I had to trim one side off and round the corners is all. So I would guess the size at 24x20 or something close to that?

For what you can into a 272 for, you just cant beat the BAJA!!
