The debate rages over on TBM. Go have a look. Nobody can agree on how fast, nonetheless, I think we would all agree that over 80 bone stock ain't happening. I'm sticking with 77-78 from the factory with 28" 4 blade props and my guess is on the high side compared with what many other are guessing.

I really have to wonder what all the hype over the 30 is all about. The 29 with the 454mags ran 70 tops and i've been in more than one. the 29 with 500's ran 78 tops and i've been in that one also. The 30 weighs considerably more and the boattest.com says 70.8 gps.
what's not to believe?? Baja typically overprops their boats from the factory and if 4600 rpm is really all the 496mag is rated for then at 4850 (the rpm on the boattest.com report) it would have been against the rev limiter. It had to have the H.O. motors in it> the temp was 85 with 88% humidity which is hardly optimum for speed runs but seems like it ran as i would expect it to for the conditions. You have to realize that gps speeds vs somebody told me speeds are two different animals.
