We are going on the 4th and in Sept for the poker run for sure I usually go on the Ohio river for Memmorial but if it is in bad shape then maybe. I put in at state dock just outside of Jamestown if you get there late a 4x4 helps because parking is scarce unless u like hiking. The big party is always at 76 falls on the other side of lke past grider hill marina. No places to beach all steep shell banks throw anchor (60') in a cove and bumper off

Ive been going to Cumberland once or twice a year now for the last three years, its a great time and not too far from cols OH. We always rent one or two houseboats, bring 5-8 boats, a few jets-skis, and around 20-25 people. We pretty much just camp out at 76 falls and just have fun. We have a trip planned for this summer in late July.

The distance from Columbus is directly proportional to the driver. 3.5 hours is best yet.

Not tring to be a smart@ss but the distance from Columbus to Lake Cumberland dosent change. But if you are talking time of travel then yes, depends on driver. 3.5 hours is really fling, hard to do with 6-7 trucks pulling boats though.

We pull 3 1/2 hours with 4 trucks and it sure is amazing how those motorolas let us take control of the road. U can help each other get thru traffic and get around those sunday drivers. Plus sure helps pass time .
