Is everyone staying at Lakeway???

bikinilover 02-04-2004 12:40 PM

We just got a condo through obergproperties.com. The condos are in the same area as Lakeway Inn. They are two bedroom two bath with a full kitchen. We stayed here last year and they are nice. $195.00 a night with full access to Lakeway Marina.

Scott--you know they dont do the 4th on the 4th...its usually the 3rd.

When are yall getting there, we need to grab a beer that friday night. --You know you can always leave your boats here :D Its got a mini dock (not in the pic)

BajaRunner 02-06-2004 04:25 PM

And the 3rd/4th is a BLAST at travis. We will definately have to all hook up for that. Its Devils Cove all day, then pull out to the main body and anchor----and remember to bring a long ass anchor (100-150ft)

nomomoney 02-06-2004 05:12 PM

runner,we are coming down on the 1st and going home on the 4th.so far we've got about 6 confirmed bajas coming down.we can discuss the beer stuff in april....

Bust-a? 02-17-2004 05:04 PM

Sounds like a nice getaway!! I've yet to make it to Lake Travis but am determined to make it this year. We usually do Lake Conroe, San Jac River - Galveston Bay - Clear Lake (not sure why they call it "Clear"). Some clean water with some scenery would be a nice change!

Are the Oberg condos y'all are referring to the ones labeled Schooner Cove on the website? Also, where do you guys leave your boats at night, rent a slip at Lakeway or do you put them on the trailer and park them somewhere?

liquid asset 02-17-2004 06:14 PM

leave em in the water at lakeway, put in at Mansfeild dam and leave the truck and trailer there

thosetwins 02-17-2004 09:08 PM

Liquid, why put in at the dam? can you not put in at a marina right around lakeway? :)

new29ol,

The ramp at Lakeway is very long and steep. I used it last year but I have 4X4 truck. When we went to leave it was raining and the ramp was wet, my buddy with 4X2 truck almost didn't make it. We had to stand in the back of his truck. These were 25 ft boats, your 29 would be even worse unless you have 4X4. I will be pulling my boat this year with the wifes new Suburban non 4X4 and will probably use the dam ramp and have her drive back to Lakeway, not crazy leaving a Suburban with 20" rims sitting there all weekend.

Here are a few pics from last year.

you can, but mansfield is soo much easier AND parking is good too, I dont know what its like at lakeway. Mansfield has a 4 boat ramp, not a single like lakeway.

Maybe I just might come down your way for something to do. How far is it from Oklahoma city and what kind of turnout do you get??? My f350 needs something to do after sitting in the garage all winter

Thanks for the info everyone. Hopefully I'll be able to make it out and meet some of you.

Can someone confirm if the Oberg Condos you are referring to are the ones labeled Schooner Cove on the website. I assume they are since they're $195/night. They look pretty nice too!

thosetwins 02-18-2004 04:35 PM

Condo

That is them. I stayed there last year and they are nice, at least the one we stayed in was. They are individualy owned and the owner rents them out through Oberg Properties. We will be there this year in condo #10. Look us up.

liquid asset 02-19-2004 10:45 AM

I'll be there, either past out in my 32 or in a room at lakeway
