Nice work by Vincent Custom Paint in Missouri!!!

87 Baja Force 280. Custom paint, replace wood swim platform with aluminum, remove all railings, replace cleats with pop-ups, lowered windshield 6 inches with a windscreen, replace dual one piece seats with twin bolsters, new white rub rails. This is the starting pic.

Vincent is also doing this one: http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...threadid=71886

Looks great, Jimmy.
Personally, I like the arch on that boat. It matches the lines nicely.

MikeBaja232 02-17-2004 06:50 AM

I can't wait to see how it turns out. Arch looks best leaning backwards; never did like the forward leaning.

Mike

ttb 02-17-2004 08:07 AM

WOW !!That is such a bad a$$ paint job who designed it ?

Your making me want to take my boat and redo the damn thing and its only 2 seasons old. But mine has boring factory riptide grafics?

PS what motor and drive combo.... Speed ect?

JimmyBaja 02-26-2004 11:54 AM

Ironmanwb,

Vincent Custom Paint is doing the work. This is an old 87 Baja Force 280. Still has original 454's w/300 hrs on them. It also has alpha drives. I did replace a drive last year with a counter rotater in increased MPH alittle. Present GPS speed is only 68mph.

Jimmy,

It has a look of the "Team Baja" graphics they did a couple of years ago.

This picture is of a 25 Outlaw on our lake!

Looks Very Nice.

Ironmanwb 02-26-2004 04:48 PM

With that kind of paint you need to whipple those and add some bravos or xr drive to that puppy and get her screeming. Some one on here in the teck Q and A was talking about a factory 28 that had 502's and hit nearly 80 but it had a bad porposing and chine walking problem. They said that it must have been that particuar boat. Ne way great boat great job on the refit I think I like the way it looks more than the new 30 ol.

JimmyBaja 02-26-2004 07:00 PM

Thanks Ironmanwb,

The boat hull can handle big power. My brother has a 280 that runs 87 GPS.

obnoxus 03-03-2004 09:56 AM

The boat looks awesome !!!!!!

PLEASE dont take this the wrong way,,, but you should have painted the trailer while the boat was off of it,,, it would REALLY complete the package going down the road !!!!

And if you have a new trailer on the way,, or are planning on it already, or it sits on a lift all summer,, go ahead and call me a di@k !!!!!
