Default Free Switch Covers

Those of you who have 2000 – 2003 boats with the black rocker switches on the dash know how easily the white lettering rubs off the switch covers. This year I decided to replace all of mine on the upper part of the dash with white switch covers. I did so even though the black ones I removed still look brand new. They still look brand new because I’m so anal I made sure I never touched the lettering with anything.

At any rate, if any of you guys want the black ones I pulled off, I will be happy to mail them to you free of charge. I can’t bring myself to throw them out if someone else can use them. Just let me know. Also – I did not swap out any of the “trim” switches over by the throttles because I never use any of those switches.

The following are the switch covers I can give you:

Courtesy Lights
Stereo
Cabin Lights
Bilge
Depth Finder
Engine Hatch
Nav/Anc Lights
Exhaust
Engine Lights

Hey where did you buy just the switch covers? I need a couple of white covers and can only find the complete switch and cover.

29 Outlaw,

If you still have them and the lettering is in place, I'll gladly take them. PM me, I'll pay the shipping.

Hey BD - I just responded to a PM from Jimmy Baja. He said he would take them and beat you by about 30 minutes. Sorry. I wish I had enough for everyone.

Hey BURNSMAZZ - I bought the switch covers from my Baja Dealer. They are made by Carling Switch but Carling only sells to big electrical supply dealers and those big electrical supply dealers won't give you the time of day when you tell them you only need 10 switch covers totalling about $30.00.

In case any one is having this same problem. I took mine off and sprayed them with a can of clear coat. I have a 1997 252 and my switches still look brand new.

Great idea, boss! I did the same with a light coat of epoxy that I brushed on, but it was too late for some of the more commonly used switches...most of the lettering had already come off of those.
