There is a guy on here that has a 2001 25 with 496 HO and procharger running 3.5 lbs of boost and if I remember correctly he is running about 75 on GPS.

I have a '99 25 O/L with 502 and a Whipple Supercharger that I have a little larger than stock pulley on and I run 74-75 on GPS at 5.5 lbs of boost. The 496 HO in my opinion is stronger than the 502 in stock form.

2001 25 with 502 Mag EFI
stock with air cleaner and it run 68mph on gps
This is a great combo for eng work and pro changer down the road..
I FEEL THE NEED FOR SPEED !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 496 ho , also incorporates the new technology, so you get awsome torque and acceleration, very good top speed stock, (with the ability to make mod's), and most important you get awsome gas milage with it, especially in today's gas price market!!! call merc, they'll tell the the pro's v. cons straighgt up!
