It is a true deep vee,24 degree deadrise, that notch is just part of the boats design. As far as ride goes in the rough you will not find another boat in its class that will ride better.I had a 25 and couldn't believe the ride difference between it and my 226.I think you'll find most other people would agree.

Thank you for the reply, Burnsmazz I thought they rode good but then noticed the notch and started to get worried about the ride in the rough water. I will not be able to test ride for another 6 months due to the fact that I live in PA.

jmcd,

Post a pic!
Good luck with your new boat. And yes, for a 25ft boat it handles the rough very well.

I have a 97 24' Outlaw and have ALWAYS been impressed with the rough water handling. Especially since 6-8' is the norm here. Congrats on the boat. Once you get into some snot all your doubts will fade.

Turboed, trust me I've heard all the crap people talk but the funny thing is you usually wont find someone that has actually owened a Baja talk sh!t about them. I've owned this boat since new and have had it in some REALLY big water. Like I said, the water where I live is average 6-8 footers and I'm not exagerating. Ask anyone that's boated here or just look at the pics from the Ventura races I posted on the main board.

The only stress cracks on my boat are at the corners of the windscreen...That's it! I get nothing but compliments when people run with me about how well it handles the big water for a small boat. I love the boat and would keep it but I'm moving up. I would be staying with Baja but I've wanted a Cig since I was 11 and I'm in a position to buy now so once my boat is gone I'll be moving on. But I don't have a negative comment about Baja. Great riding/running boat!

Let's deal boss . This way, you don't have to worry about selling your boat if your in a position to buy

The 25 is a tough little boat. During a poker run this year we had a 25 ol stay with us for most of the run and I have a 302......and it was super rough 5-7 on lake erie which mean they are about 25 feet apart., I call 'em teeth rattlers.
