It's kind of marketed at the guy who has
a 20 outlaw, and doesn't, or can't fork out
the $$$$$ for a 25 o/l.

Re: 23 outlaw?
As you can see from my Username, I am the lucky owner of a '05 23OL w/496 Mag.
BTW: for info on the 23OL, Baja has just added it to their corporate Website.

55-60k 5 years ago would buy you a 25o/l.
Have you priced a 25 o/l lately ? there asking more than
what I paid for my 97' 29 o/l with twins
Unfortunately, the average joe's rate of income isn't keeping up
with the rate of price increases from the boat manufacturers.
Thus, the need for something in that $$$$ range.

Re: 23 outlaw?
Base is 50K (w/ 6.2), mine is loaded (w/496 Mag) had an MSRP of 69K. I paid approx 55K. I debated the 496HO option for a while but at the time couldn't justify the 8K upgrade. After having the boat for the past 2 months, I should've sucked it up.
The boat runs flawlessly. It flies out of the hole and tops out at 70 on the wish-o-meter.
I just added Eddie Marine S.S. tips and a K&N air filter. With a light load, I can just hit the rev-limiter at WOT. So my next upgrade with be labbing the prop or getting a more appropriate pitched 'accelerator' from Houston Prop..
My original intent upon going to the dealer was to buy a 25OL. The dealer was nice enough to enlighten me to the new 23OL coming out that was being built with Baja's latest design techniques. Being that the 25OL is soon to be redesigned, it was a easy decision for me to go with the newly designed 23OL. If offers much of the 25OL, just 1.5ft shorter, with a 2inch increase in beam. Essentially the same 25OL, except it doesn't have the couches in the bow cabin (has a complete pad), any bow cabin hatches (they would have been nice) and doesn't have a motorized hatch ( I was told it was not included to lower the weight?).
All said, I am very happy. It just makes me want a 30OL even more..
