whos got a kickin system in a 29 outlaw

My 272 has a box with two 12" subs under my bed facing to the rear of the boat. I dont use my porta potti, so I put it there. Sounds great coming out of the cabin area, plus my component speakers in the cockpit area let me hear music under way. Best thing, I still have storage under my seat.

No, I dont have a template, we did it free hand, and it was a pain in the a$$ to get it right because of the floor. It looks good though, I will put a pic on here when it warms up and I get in the boat.

Yes, they were 12" subs. I think 1.3 cubic foot each. I made the box to fit behind the slide to hide them if I wanted and still had a little bit of room to the front wall. I didnt port the box, I dont know if that would help it or not.

I took a BAJA decal and cut just the letters out of it. Then traced it onto a thin pad of foam, and glued it to the top of the box. Covered the box in vinyl and pressed the vinyl around the foam, ensuring all the letters were really noticable....its not to hard and I think it looks pretty cool.

Maybe a stupid question here. Do you have to leave your door open from the cockpit to the cuddy in order to hear the bass thumping when the subs are up in the V-berth?
