Lot's of newbies!! Good stuff, start typing boys, it's always good to hear from everyone. The ole' motor project is moving along, will try to button up the short block tomorrow. Can't wait to run this spring!! Just may have to pull her out in March for a little test run, of course I hope it's complete by then!!

Tank, dude, I read about your stereo in the suburban, damn, I wish I could have seen that thing!! Oh well, maybe next time. Feel free to send over some pics, but I won't be able to check my e-mail for another few weeks.....long story......directly realted to my So Cal visit last month.

Oh well.....why not. Very short version here. 3 1/2 years ago I bought a house and basically the house made me extremely sick. Environmental poisoning, mostly likely an aldehyde and mold combination. So, now today 3 1/2 years later I am still working on getting back to full go. I had to sell my business about 2 years ago and am lucky not to have lost everything. Still have both boats by some miracle. So I am still working on the diagnostic specifics (pretty technical stuff) and detoxing my poor system. All this froma guy who was not sick but one time for ten years prior to buying the house. That is about as short as I can sum it up. Lookign forward to my first normal summer, and that is why the motor project has taken me 1 1/2 years to date, along with most other things in my life!!! No worries though, almost better and very happy about that. I haven't been in my house for 6 mos, and have not set up an e-mail account on another computer. Ouch!! Everything is going really good though. Not that anyone asked, but that is what happened. Dangerous stuff for sure. Oh yeah, that is why I have over 900 posts. Normally I would have about 50. Later.

Allan: That doesn't sound good at all! Hope all is working out and the trip out here helped out. Get back out here again and I will def. get you out on a boat. But prob. a good idea to wait until they are fixed! Hopefully mine will be done by april. It's just all about the money.

If you are into stereo's, you'd like The suburban. T.V.'s, Playstaion 12 12" JL competition W6's Xtant and PPI Amps, MB Quart mids and highs. There's pictures of what it used to look like before on 38's and a 9" lift at www.bighabits.com Thats me next to the lamborghini too in the picture area. Thers also a shot of the speakers. The burbs sitting on 42's now with an 11" lift.

Tank, thanks man, the trip to CA helped a bunch. It's a pretty gruesome story actually, but everything is working out just fine, thankfully....In 2000, I took the boat out 4 times.....uuugghhhh. Same year I sold the business. Now.....that sucked!!

Dude, the websight kept freezing up this computer.....POS. I saw the suburban, the purple looking one, dude, that thing is frickin' bad as hell. Didn't get a chance to see the other pictures, got tired of having to reboot hte computer!! I'm a pretty casual stereo guy, but I like the sounds the hot systems make. I'm more into the average system that holds it's own. That s*** is expensive, so I spend the dough on other goodies and toys. Got a whole garage full of them, but not as many as I used to. Part of the liquidation to avoid debt strategy I had to go thru. Actually looking to buy a sled (snowmobile for you warm weather guys!!) if I can pick one up for a good price.

Installed the pistons today, and going to check the rod cap clearances tomorrow, then oil pump and pan... and that will be it for the shortblock. Next will be the valve train and heads. So far so good, I am pretty certain I will see about 600/600 or so. Hoping that anyway. Maybe a little lower on the TQ number, but the HP should be right about 600 by best estimates.

take 'er slllloowww hommie.....A4

Glad to hear your motors coming along bro. I should be giving my mechanic a huge chunk here shortly to get the ball rollin. I'm going through serious withdrawls!! It's all good rollin on cigarettes and scarabs and all, but not having my own boat for the last few months has really sucked balls!!!
Talk to you later brother.

'93 260. 454 330. Adding more power this winter. Not sure what, though. Waiting to hear on a used 502. If that falls through I may buy another 454 and build it. Gotta get into the mid 60's. "I Can't Drive 55" no more.

MERC575,
Where will you be running the boat? I live in Delaware and was curious if I have seen you around before. Sounds like you have an awsome boat!!!
