Default 320 es ????

I was hoping to get some opinions on the 92 320 es. I hope that they are descent since I already bought it. How do they ride and handle, inherent problems etc. I was also wondering how they react power upgrades it has twin 365 hp 454 now but I intend to improve on that this fall. Thanks guys.

A friend of mine had a 93' with
415's.

His originally had inside rotating props,
and it was very ill handling.

We switched to outside rotation, it
made a world of difference.

This boat ran lower 70's and did not
have external steering.........it needed it.

The boat has kind of a higher center of gravity,
and it has a fairly large pad on the bottom,
( which it tries to ride up on) it definetly
felt a little loose up on top.

We never experimented with 4 blade props
at the time, but, I bet with 4 blades and
external steering, it would have been a
bit more stable.

Engine access was tight.

I always have liked the looks of those models

The Mcleod seats are nice.

As is the downstairs.

I believe someone on here has a 320/322
with HP500's or better, maybe he'll chime in
on how they handle with power.

I appreciate the input. The boat has 4 blade props on it now. The previous owner ran labbed mirage props and said it picked up quite a bit on the top but was kinda squirrelly. The bravo's are apparently night and day difference on the handling. With the mirage props it supposedly ran low 70's on radar. High sixty's with the current props. Looking forward to getting it out and playing with it. Would like to get into the high 70's low 80's so I can keep up with the head of the pack with the guys I run with.

I would strongly suggest adding
external steering to it before
you add the power.

I'll never own another performance
boat without it.

500-550 hp a side should get that boat
into the 80's.

have fun.

Congrats 320ES. I just bought one the other day also.

Just joined a second ago and had to chime in on what I just bought from my buddy. 1992 320 ES with 502's.
Before my buddy had it, my other friend had it, so we're keeping it in the family kinda of for the last 9 years. This has been an excellent boat with a great ride. Mine is all white and I'm about to order vinyl graphics on-line for it.

Goog luck with your new boat.

WIsh I had 502's...Congratualions on yours as well. Where are you from? I haven't seen many of the 320 around. It is a nice boat lots of room and deep. I pulled it the other day and found out it is also heavy. I don't like the engine access or the goofy windshield thing. I think I will take mine off. Other than that It is great. How does yours run with the 502's?

Hey 320ES,

I'm in Michigan on the East side of the state. Where are you?
I know, not a ton out there. I found a few 94 in my area but they werea asking in the $50's. I really wanted a 93 or up becasue of the stand up head, but kinda commetted to my buddy to buy his last year and he gave us a deal. That is until I had to fix all the blisters on the bottom. Still a deal I think. I'll be done this weekend with that job. The boat will be on a hoist from now on so should be fine. The 502's scream maybe even hitting 80 mph on a perfect day. I'll GPS it this spring. The guy I bought it from also has a 370 ES that has built 502's I think with blowers. I was on his boat last year when he raced his son on the 320 ES and the 320 didn't lose that bad and the 370 does into the 90's Mph. THat was a rush. At 30 mph he hits the trottles and you get whip lash. YOu can't stand up until the G's go down. What a rush. Can't emagine some of these boats that do 100+.

Hows your boat? Did you put it in the water yet. Any pictures?

Hey 320ES,
Does yours have Drive Showers on it? I'm looking at getting a set and I'm looking for other people to buy also so we get a group discount. Simerk Halo's are around $140 but if we buy 6 we get 15% off and free s/h. I need 2 so all we need is 4 more. If we buy 4 we get 10% off and free S/H.

I've got a pair of drive showers very similar to the Simrek for sale. 125.00 for the pair includes shipping. I can send pics if needed.

I live in St. louis Mo. but used to live in southwest michigan when I was younger. Haven't had mine out yet, it has been sitting for almost 2 years so I am going through everything before hand. Alittle time now may save alot in the future. Trust me I am itching to get it out. It is in good shape though, been inside the whole time. The motors started right up and have great compression. My Captains call wasn't working but it is now fixed. I took some pics with a digital the other day but they are on my parents computer which is a macintosh, which I can't figure out how to use. I am interested in the drive shower thing. I need some as well. I'm looking for a trailer. Do you have one? Possibly for sale?
