Post Prop for 212 Islander

Actually went skiing today in Northern CA in our new 212. The hole shot was not that great and I was wondering about a 4 Blade prop. We currently have a 3 blade 21 Mirage plus and the top end is around 68 with 1/2 fuel and 3 aboard. Any idea of props to try.

I run a 212 islander and I would try a bravo 1 19pitch it should yank you out pretty good I would think. Just my .02cents

Wildchild212's suggestion would probably be the ideal choice for skiing purposes. The holeshot would be great...However, needless to say top speed will suffer a little.

Mark,
So the hole shot was alittle slow? Where you trying to salom ski? I would probably try the 4 blade in order not to sacrifice the top end. A 19 pitch may run the RPMs too much, I don't know just a thought.

Is this the prop you run Wildchild? How do you like the Islander? I have thought about getting one.

Eric
I currently run a 23 pitch mirage plus, this prop runs me at 4750 at 65.3 on a GPS. I love the boat but We have owned it since new in 97 and it is for sale right now. The wife and I have the itch again. Imagine that huh.

Mark
if you are spinning a 21 three blade the 19 four blade should be fine for rpm. Besides do you ski at 60 plus alot not unless you are in the catalina race. who knows give it a try

WC-
Thanks for the information. I will be looking at the Islander this spring. What are you running in yours? The 350?

I think 22 is smallest Bravo 1 4 blade. Ask in prop section if anyone makes a 19 4 blade..
