Default Banana Boat prop question

My boat came with a 19p 3 blade stainless Lazer II prop. Worked great!

Going to re-install the Mercury soon, but the guy in Florida lost my prop. Now all I have is an aluminum 3 blade prop.

Here is my question. I was thinking about getting a 4 blade stainless 19p prop. Would I notice any difference? Should I just stick with the Aluminum prop I have. Should I try to find another Lazer II?

Anybody got any 19p props for sale?

Okay, need more help guys.

Is Charlie Sr or Jr around anymore?

Found two props.

1. 19p Laser II 3 blade prop - (wants $100)

2. 19p Offshore 4 blade prop - ($75.00) 9 out of 10 condition

The 4 blades looks great, but not sure if I will gain or loose on the performance end.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello TB keep up the good work!

Any idea regarding the 3 vs 4 blade prop?

Can you find any info on S&F? I think that the 4 blade will give you better hole shot. And I don't think you will notice much if anything for loss on top end with it. I know I've read a bunch of stuff on props and the different blade configs but I really don't rememeber any of it. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi Evan.

Ya, my research said the same. better low and mid range, but shouldn't hurt the top end.

I decided to buy it. We will see what happens.

Wait, I'm Evan. He's Adam.
Keep it straight, will ya.

Every time I've tried 4 blades in the SB I've had no hole shot, lots of blow out and it didn't work.
I ran one on my old tunnel hull, got no midrange or bottom end, but added 5 mph to the WOT. I tried that prop on 2 more boats since and hated it.

buy em cheap on S&F or Ebay and sell em if no Likey.
