Banana Boat re-rig
Well I spent my weekend, removing all the OMC rigging from my Banana.
I also removed the hydraulic racing jack plate that I installed last year.
Went out and bought all new Mercury stuff and will hopefully install all of it by this weekend.
If I am lucky I will be mounting the engine Saturday.
Anybody else doing any projects?

Re: Banana Boat re-rig
I just finished weeding and replanting the flowers in mine. Was going to redo it this spring but needed the cash for lawyer fees. But the reconstruction will get started by the end of this summer. Till then I'll have to settle on having the biggest baddest lawn ornament in the neighborhood.

Hello Bananaheads,
I got an offer for my white Banana boat on the new trailer. He wants it with out power as he has a pair of 2.5 Mercurys he wants to install.
The engine hasn't been hung yet because I am waiting to see if it is going to close.

Glad and sorry to hear that all at the same time. What does your wife think about it? And does this mean we are gonna see a 200hp Spoiled Banana SOB soon?

Wife will miss it, but she like the idea of being able to keep the Cig 20 in the garage instead of paying Marina storage.
If I sell Whitey, then yes I will bolt the Merc to "Spoiled" and play with it all summer.
If this guy doesn't buy it, then Mercury is going on "Monkey Bizness".
When is yours gonna go in the water again Fruitta?

Re: Banana Boat re-rig
I hope by next year. I'm starting to get some prices on getting the work done. After that it's a matter of the person we choose getting the time to do it.
