Thanks.....the kid has been around a while, so now he can help me remember how to put the props on the right way.

This is a photo from a race that he wasn't quite old enough to legally be in the boat...BUT....well, he had his helmet on before the rae, and just walked down the dock and got in the boat.....by the time we discovered it, what could we do...... it was too late to notify Race Control that we had an underage offshore fan on our boat....so we just continued on and ....no one said anything later...neither did we.

But he did gain some valuable experience that day, that I am sure he still remembers.

Funny you should mention that. We were talking about it when I dropped the boat off and were talking about Offshore racing and what it must have been like growning up around it.

Well, here are the initial pics. The good news is that the stringers only had minor damage and can be saved! Needs a couple new bulkheads and transom.

Note to self.

Order extra fiberglass to fill in headlights.

Or better yet, forget that and enlarge them. I always wanted a forward entry to the cabin. Great for when you beach it on a sand bar!

Going to downsize them a little. Chatim mentioned that there are some nice LED ones out now.

Ya, I just got back from the boat show in Boston.

It seemed like every hull had the new style "stainless steel" bow lights that weren't much bigger than the nav lights that came with the 80's vintage Banana's.

The light bulbs seemed to be halogen.

I think they look better way forward and up high on the ridge.

Here are some more pics. Transom gone, and all holes filled in Waiting to hear about paint so it can get flipped and sprayed before the new deck goes on.

No new deck and no further news on the resto. Nor will there be any news. But if anyone knows someone that needs a boat of equal size that needs to come north I will be towing an empty trailer from FL to MA Memorial day weekend. More than willing to rent trailer space. Thanks for everything everybody!
